Italian website newsMobile seems to got some further information about HTC's
to be announced HTC
Touch Diamond and following
T-Mobile's first show-off at this years CeBIT and the later grainy photo of
HTC's new smartphones, this seems to be legit information.
According to newsMobile, the HTC Touch Diamond (official name still to be
confirmed) will features Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, quadband
GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (while it's not yet clear if it might be triband
GSM/GPRS/EDGE and singleband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA), Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi b/g, eGPS,
FM radio and a 2.8" VGA (640x480 pixel) touchscreen:

Furthermore, the Touch Diamond is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm
MSM7201A CPU at 528 MHz, and featuring 4 GB internal flash. While microSD is
mentioned as well, sources said the HTC Touch Diamond will lacks microSD expansion.
Last but not least, the device features a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera on the
back and a second VGA cam on the front and the Touch Diamond is also expected to
feature an orientation sensor/accelerometer which rotates the screen
automatically.
It's not yet confirmed that the specs or the rendering above are legit but
there are no doubts that this is the mysterious HTC Touch Diamond which is
expected to be announced next Tuesday. In any case, that's an impressive
feature-set for a Windows Mobile device.
