 Sure,
for more advanced smartphone users in the U.S., T-Mobile might be the worst
option to chose since the Seattle-based carrier still lacks support of UMTS, not
to talk about HSDPA but for inbound roamers like me, T-Mobile isn't that bad.
Especially if you use a smartphone like the Samsung SGH-i600 which supports
triband GSM at 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz and singleband UMTS/HSDPA at 2100 MHz
only.
Not sure what's wrong with
AT&T's EDGE network here in Seattle but I don't get EDGE here (maybe it's
available on 850 MHz only?) while
T-Mobile's EDGE shows up everywhere:
 
While I still try to use my smartphone as less as possible for mobile data
(the prices are simply insane -
see my previous posting), T-Mobile is the way better option for me;
especially because for some reasons Samsung isn't able to make quadband GSM and
triband UMTS-compatible Windows Mobile smartphones.
