Samsung recently announced the Samsung SGH-i600 which will be released in Europe and Asia later this year and also the the Samsung SGH-i607 was recently approved by the FCC for the U.S. American market. Both devices are based on Samsung's BlackJack II concept, a UMTS-enabled Windows Mobile Smartphone with thumb-keyboard, and therefore the i600/i607 is the UMTS/HSDPA follower of Samsung's 2.5G Windows Mobile Smartphone, the SGH-i320 (see my previous review here).
This week I had the chance to play a little bit with a prerelease version of the SGH-i600 and I took the chance to make some high resolution photos of Samsung's next and its first UMTS- and HSDPA-enabled Windows Mobile Smartphone. Since it is a prerelease device only - without any accessories, etc - I can not write a full review about it at all but I will publish a preview later this week. I don't have a feature sheet yet but according the press release and the camera application confirms it, it stays 1.3 megapixel only. Now without photo-light (as the i320 has) but with a mirror for self-portraits.

by the way resolution is the same as the i320, its just that I don't know why it is only going to be 200mhz instead of 416mhz of processor like the i320. Can someone find out also when the tentative date is for it to be out.

The screen is just great. If you know the i320 screen, it seems to be the same. Bright and crisp, as all Samsung phone screens are. Basically (IMHO) the best a mobile phone can get.
It's too early to talk about battery life. Please keep in mind it was an early development prototype only, so I cannot say too much about the battery life yet.

Similar. It's a TI OMAP 1710 CPU with 220 MHz

No, AFAIK it's single band only (for the i600) which is another reason why we will see the i607 released in the U.S.

Is it heavier than i320?

Yes, it feels a little bit heavier but not too much. It doesn't bother in the pocket.
