HTC recently released a driver update for a wide range of Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphones which will provide your HTC mobile device with the latest available optimized software for use with HTC accessories such as the YC A120 Y-Cable adaptor, the RC W100 Remote Controller and the RC E100 Remote Controller.
The 3 MB ZIP file contains an EXE which needs to be installed from the PC.
With the driver updates, you can keep your phone in your pocket by using the HTC RC W100 Music Remote Control. The Y-Cable adaptor converts the extUSB port on your HTC device to support both charging via a mini USB cable, and output audio through a 3.5mm stereo headset.

Check out HTC Europe's support site to find out if the free driver update is available for your device as well.
If you use a compatible device from another brand (O2, T-Mobile, Orange, Vodafone, etc.) I expect the drivers are working well for these devices as well.
