UTILITY: Xbar Beta 3 for Smartphone

Xetra has developed a handy tool for Microsoft's Smartphones which is available in Beta 3 now - xbar.
It's a graphic oriented task switcher (reminds me a little bit on SideX for Pocket PCs) for Smartphones which lets you switch and close tasks as well as it provides you information about phone memory used.

It uses the record button on the left (which is useless anyway - at least for me and I even re-assigned it to a task manager) to launch/hide the GUI:

TOOLS: MTUX released a bunch of new cool SideX plug-ins and standalone apps

One of my favorite developers, MTUX - the makes of SideX for Pocket PC (read my Review here), recently released a bunch of cool new plug-ins for their SideX 2003 platform but also some standalone applications.
Why I like MTUX? Well, simply because their SideX idea which is really fascinating. It's a simple but efficient way to run applications over the standard full screen Pocket PC programs:

REVIEW: MTUX Pims for SideX 2003

As you know, I am big fan of MTUX's SideX platform which is a new applet platform designed for Pocket PC 2002 and Pocket PC Phone Edition. It's simple but powerful with great applets. It provides a unique and new user interface for Pocket PC and let you use a lot useful applets in a smart way (see my previous SideX 2002 review and SideX 2003 preview).

Now, MTUX released a new cool applet which makes SideX 2003 even more powerful and useful: Pims.

The Pims applet includes two functions: "Pims" which is an Inbox, Calendar and Task summary viewer and "Contacts" the easy to find Contacts viewer.

MTUX, the developers of the SideX Applet Platform are currently working on SideX 2003. While SideX 2002 worked pretty good (see my review here) the new version got a lot of speed and stability enhancements as well as more features and a slightly modified design.

UPDATE: MTUX released SysPack 1.4 for SideX 1.43

SysPack 1.4 includes some new features now. In general it helps you to watch your system easier. Battery status, free space of storage, switch current running program and close program each by each, adjust volume and brightness.

You can watch the following all system information right "over" your current application, wherever you are.

REVIEW: MTUX.COM SideX 2002 Applet Platform

Some days ago I found SideX, a new applet platform for Pocket PCs. I’m a big fan of these small utilities which helps improving the use of Pocket PCs and SideX looks like an interesting concept.

SideX is new Applet Platform designed for PocketPC. It's simple but powerful with great applets. It provides the unique UI for PocketPC and let you use a lot useful applets in a smart way.
You can use applets in the SideX over your current application and it is fairly small and needs very small screen area.
