As I've told you a couple of days ago, I'm currently pretty busy with my latest project for a European GSM/UMTS carrier; however - like so often things change and the project I was hired for is currently on hold because of some other exciting developments I'm working on now.
While on hold means postponed only, the new project involves me into 3G/UMTS which gives me some exciting views into the next coming developments and also means that I'm 3G enabled now! :-D

As every year (since 1997) also this year I will join the 3GSM Congress in Cannes. It's the come together for the GSM industry and for me it's my personal "Mecca" I have to walk too not once in my life but one a year.

It's the congress for the whole GSM industry and all the stuff you will find on later events like the CeBIT are pre-presented there. But not the hardware is interesting for me only but also network and service developments.

This week became an exciting one for me which might drive me a little bit away from my online presence at PPCW.Net which doesn't means that it is "on-hold" or "temporary down", but it forces me to shift the work more into the evening/weekend. As much I love working on/for/with PPCW.Net, it doesn't pays "all" my bills. As some of you might know, for 2 years I'm self-employed with my own small consultancy company. While I was working before for GSM carriers and Service Providers in several positions, latest as senior product manager and business developer for mobile data and value added services, I decided in 2002 to concentrate into the mobile data market more and therefore I've launched my own company which is still working closely with wireless operators.

Okay, never thought it would happens to me but it recently does. Call me dumb or naive but well - I'm not a shop at all but just a community site which wanted to provide a service for its readers.
As you know I accept PayPal or money transfer for PPCW.Net i-Mate orders only and one reason to accept PayPal but not Credit Cards directly was my fear of Credit Card fraud while I thought PayPal is clever enough to handle this for me; but by no means!
