TEXT ENTRY: T9 Text Editor for the Smartphone
Posted by Carlo Guerrero - at 12:59 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

We've come to love and hate T9 on the Smartphone.  Some of us have loved it as it made text entry so much easier. But how about training it? It does take a bit of getting used to and after several attempts, you can get T9 to learn your words.

The problem comes along though when a forced reboot is done (normally by removing the battery) which somehow sets back the T9 Dictionary back to square 1.

The download page doesn't provide any information about the version and fixes but it's expectable that it is -more or less - the same upgrade like used by ATTW since both devices are manufactured by HTC.

"It is assumed that, we will have 3G enabled Windows Mobile mobile phones in the market in 2005; preferably at CeBIT 2005" so Müller-Berg.

Well, that's one year from now which is a fairly long time 8O because most European carriers will launch their 3G/UMTS networks during this year and Microsoft missed an opportunity for a head start.
