MEMORY: Is your upgraded T-Mobile Phone Edition out of memory also?
Posted by Arne Hess - at 20:24 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

Today I got a "wake-up" call from John Crawford who recently upgraded his T-Mobile Phone Edition to Windows Mobile 2003, we've reported about here also. What he wrote me today doesn't seems that promising at all since it seems Windows Mobile 2003 on a U.S. T-Mobile Phone Edition has a serious memory problem. I'm publishing John's E-Mail with his permission here again:

RELEASE: Vodafone Germany released its first Phone Edition - the Qtek 2020
Posted by Arne Hess - at 13:31 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

It seems that today is Vodafone day on PPCW.Net. :-) Vodafone Germany silently released its first Windows Mobile powered device as the "Vodafone Personal Assistant" which is a HTC Himalaya - branded by Qtek as 2020.

Seems to be a new strategy from Vodafone to release HTC devices under OEM brand names (like the previous released i-mate Smartphone2 from Vodafone Australia) beside Vodafone's own Live compatible devices?

Anyway - the Vodafone Personal Assistant (after the xda = eXtended Digital Assistant and the MDA = Mobile Digital Assistant now the VDA) is available from Vodafone Germany's online shop.

Courtesy of new MTekk forum user ragnew, we now have what seems to be the most complete specifications yet for the oft-rumored hp iPAQ 6000 series Pocket PC Phone. The source is a draft 3 page brochure, which seems to go into quite some detail. SHOPPING: The PPCW.Net i-Mate Phone Edition arrived today
Posted by Arne Hess - at 15:42 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

Today, the next awaited batch of the PPCW.Net i-Mate Phone Edition arrived and can be ordered from now. As before, the i-Mate Pocket PC Phone Edition is SIM unlocked which means virtually any GSM 900, 1800, 1900 MHz SIM card can be used with it and it.

Also I'm often asked what the UK power plug means. It means more or less nothing except that you might need a pin adapter (please see my article here: TRAVELING: Using Your Pocket PC in other Countries) The charger itself supports 110 - 220 Volt and therefore it can be used all over the world. In case you come from the U.S. you can easily get such an adapter from RadioShack (bought one as well there, last week - when I was in Seattle).
