UTILITY: Kai's Outlook Cleaner for Smartphone and Pocket PC
Posted by Arne Hess - at 17:08 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

If you use two PCs (one in the office and one at home) and in "worst case" different Windows Mobile devices like a Pocket PC and a Smartphone to synchronize your devices with Outlook you might have noticed the duplicates in your database as well. Duplicated calendar entries like birthdays, duplicated contacts and even tasks.
Normally I'm using Fr. Simon's (free) Outlook Duplicates Remover to get it fixed on my PCs or Notebooks. However, right now the download page isn't available - unfortunately - but you still can download it from Chris Pirillo's Lockergnome.

However, now you can perform the same and more from your Smartphone 2003 with Kai's Outlook Cleaner 1.2:

DEVICE: More MDA III aka HTC Blue Angel information available
Posted by Arne Hess - at 16:11 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

I received some more detailed information about T-Mobile's next coming Pocket PC Phone Edition (called MDA III) which is indeed a HTC device called "Blue Angel" (as you know, OEMs always give their devices internal project names. The first xda/MDA was called "Wallaby", the Xda II/MDA II was called "Himalaya" and the expected and confirmed MDA III is called "Blue Angel" now).

However, the information I've received are slightly different than the stuff announced before:

LINK: pdaPhoneHome previews the HP iPAQ H6310 Phone Edition
Posted by Arne Hess - at 19:41 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

User "jpmihalk" of pdaPhoneHome.com had the chance to recently play with the previously leaked HP iPaq H6310 (well, that's a model number for a Nokia phone ;-)) and posted his impression in the forum there:

I have spent an hour with a pre-production version of the HP iPAQ h6310 PDAphone and I must say, I'm in love. Of course, I'm a geek at heart. We will have to see how long the love lasts...

First, as has been discussed elsewhere, the h6310 is built around the Texas Instruments OMAP1510 processor running at 200MHz. Performance was acceptable if not good. The h6310 has 64MB RAM and 64MB ROM with a ROM date in the tested unit of 2/13/2004. It was running Windows Mobile Phone Edition 2003 (OS Version 4.20.0 Build 13349.)

Second, connectivity is provided through quad-band GSM/GPRS using T-Mobile service, WLAN 802.11b, and Bluetooth. According to HP, the device will be upgradeable to EDGE when the network is delivered and that is part of the roadmap for their PDAphone products.
