DRIVER: Socket released first W-LAN SD Card driver for Windows Mobile Smartphones [UPDATE]
Posted by Arne Hess - at 17:33 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

Looks like I've missed something because Socket recently (according to their website they did on 05.05.) released a first version of its Windows Mobile Smartphone compatible SDIO W-LAN card driver.

However, according to the file description, the driver is designed to work with the Sagem myS-7 Smartphone, even if it installed fine on my i-mate SP3i (which I can not use for W-LAN since it uses a miniSD card under the battery):

RUMOR: Is the HTC Wizard the keyboard-enhanced follower of the HTC Magician?
Posted by Arne Hess - at 21:26 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

Over the past days, some infomation leaked about a device called HTC "Wizard" which is expected to become a kind of HTC Magician follower.
The HTC Magician, better known as i-mate JAM, T-Mobile compact or O2 Xda II mini, is (IMHO) the sweetest Pocket PC Phone Edition yet but it lacks the support of W-LAN as well as the memory might be a little bit limited.

However, over at HowardForums, last week a member said something about a HTC Wizard and Galaxy first time:

ANNOUNCED: O2 Asia to carry the HTC Amadeus as O2 Xphone IIm
Posted by Arne Hess - at 12:29 CET under 02 - Windows Mobile News

O2 Asia and i-mate are definitely the two resellers which seems to be the best customers of HTC since they carry most of the HTC Windows Mobile models. While carriers are pretty restrictive and focused in their product portfolio, O2 Asia and i-mate are pure resellers (even if both also sell to carriers) and therefore they need a wider product portfolio.

The latest announcement came from O2 Asia who will carry the HTC Amadeus - also known as T-Mobile SDA Music - soon. While it isn't publicly announced on O2 Asia's PR page yet, CNETAsia revealed it already and since today it also appears on O2's product page.
