THOUGHT: One device - two IDs - four names
Posted by Arne Hess - at 02:23 CET under 09 - Thoughts

Oh man, carriers doesn't makes it easy if it comes two Windows Mobile "own-branded" devices. Let's take the HTC Wizard as an example: first it was introduced in Germany as T-Mobile MDA Vario and O2 Xda mini S (and yes, there was a time when both companies named the same device similar like T-Mobile MDA/O2 XDA or T-Mobile MDA II/O2 Xda II) but everything changed later with the T-Mobile MDA compact aka O2 Xda mini.
However, now we have - as I said - the Vario and mini S in the market for some weeks and yesterday also E-Plus and Vodafone Germany released their previously announced versions of the Wizard as "E-Plus Pocket PDA" and "Vodafone VPA compact II" (not to mention that the T-Mobile MDA compact II is a completely different device, it's not the HTC Wizard but the HTC Charmer).
