As I've posted in the previous poll (Which standard do you use for mobile Internet access?), I'm using Windows CE (as Windows Mobile devices was called before) devices since 1997 to go online if I'm away from my home or office PCs.
However, in the first years I've used the Windows CE device as the I/O device and my modem was my (Ericsson) mobile phone I've connected with my P/PCs and H/PCs via Infrared. With the introduction of Windows Mobile powered Pocket PC Phone Editions in 2002, everything changed since the Pocket PC Phone Edition devices itself includes the modem functionalities now (in the early years it was just GPRS, now it's even EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA - not to forget the American standards like 1x and EVDO) and the Windows Mobile devices become my modem for my Notebook which is pretty handy since I can leave PCMCIA modem cards at home now.

Ok, we have 2.xG mobile data standards like GSM's, CSD, HSCSD, GPRS and EDGE and 3.xG standards like UMTS, HSDPA and EVDO available and operational as well as competing standards like W-LAN and WiBro and WiMAX but which standard do you use for the mobile Internet access with your (Windows) Mobile device?
I've started with CSD (which was the reason why I've created my first Windows CE homepage back in 1997) and upgraded later to GPRS. Two years ago, I've upgrade again, this time to UMTS to upgrade to HSDPA this year but what's your current standard/technology you are using to go online on the road?

This bi-weekly poll is about the device platform you are using. To get a better understanding about what the::unwired readers use, I would like to know which device and platform you are using (Windows Mobile only for sure, if you are using anything in addition, it's not part of this poll today, in this case just vote for the Windows Mobile device you are using as well).

So what do you use? Pocket PC, Pocket PC Phone Edition, Smartphone or both/all three device types?
