FOLLOW-UP: How I would change the Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure to review the new Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone as one of the first in Germany and as good as the Lumia 800 is - as Nokia's first Windows Phone - as much room it has for improvements - compared to other (non Windows Phone) smartphones. At the end of the day, the Lumia 800 stands in heavy competition with other Windows Phones as well as Android smartphones and the end-user is way more educated today than he/she was 3 or 4 years ago as well has users are expecting more. And therefore, for a smartphone in the 450+ Euro class, I would have expect the one or the other feature adjust- and enhancement to make it an even better more complete device.

SITE: Reawaking the the::unwired's "Follow-Ups" category

It's some time since I've introduced the::unwired's Follow-Ups category, as a matter of fact it was over 6 years ago, and this week I've decided that it is definitely time to reawake this topic again! As before, I want to follow-up with observations I've done while using a platform, a device or a service but I'm now going to slightly change the way I'm writing about it. Since the::unwired is still read by carriers, hardware manufacturers and application service providers (which sometime value my feedback), I'm now going to write in a kind of "how I would change" their products style to provide a direct feedback. Furthermore it might be helpful for end-users to better understand what they can or cannot expect from the one or the other device or service.

FOLLOW-UP: Bloglines' Skweezer implementation ignores handheld friendly sites

Ouch,
bad news! In my previous
posting about Bloglines cooperation with Skweezer, I just wrote: "I hope, Skweezer isn't trying to skweeze the::unwired
since we are serving a mobile device optimized version already which doesn't
needs to be skweezed again." and indeed, links from Bloglines to the::unwired
articles are skweezed.
Even worse, not the mobile optimized page is skweezed but the desktop version
which results in a completely broken experience.
