Together with the introduction of the HTC Desire 300 and Desire 601, HTC also announced a surprising accessory for HTC One owners which is said to redefine the smartphone sound experience and raising the bar again. HTC BoomBass, a compact, Bluetooth-enabled subwoofer with a dedicated amplifier, provides clearer, more powerful bass when combined with the HTC One family's BoomSound. The subwoofer enables HTC BoomSound's speakers to produce enhanced quality of lower range frequencies so, no matter what music you're playing or video you're watching, you are guaranteed immense and exceptional sound that can travel with you.

Unfortunately, HTC has yet not issued an image, therefore we all don't know how its BoomBass might look like. Nevertheless, we have received the technical details which read as following: The BoomBass comes with a Micro USB charging port, Bluetooth 3.0+EDR with apt-X and A2DP which provides a working range of up to 10 m. Furthermore aboard is NFC for intuitive Bluetooth setup for compatible handsets.

The HTC BoomBass features a power and pairing button, a status LED and the embedded rechargeable Li-polymer battery has a capacity of 1200 mAh which is said to be good for up to 9 hours music playback and up to 120 hours standby.

The HTC BoomBass will be available from the HTC Accessory Store from mid October 2013.

Cheers ~ Arne
