Idruna Software Inc., develops and publishes innovative graphics software for Windows, Linux, and Pocket PC, has released Pocket Phojo 4.0, the smallest and most effective solution for editing, captioning, and transmitting images from anywhere in the world.
Pocket Phojo 4.0 has unique new features designed for covering large events such as the World Cup, where it was used to great effect. Simply connect your Pocket PC to your Canon 1D Mark II, Mark II N, or 1Ds Mark II via USB, take your photos as normal, then all you have to do is press the Protect button on the back of the camera to transmit a fully captioned and press ready image via WiFi, Bluetooth Phone, or BGAN satellite modem, while you keep shooting! Pocket Phojo has become an extremely powerful yet easier to use alternative to the Canon WFT-E1 WiFi transmitter, and greatly extends the capabilities of the supported cameras.

The new Phojo 4 setup I was using at the World Cup was truly amazing. I set the Pocket PC to automatically transfer pictures I had tagged to the Guardian picture desk without me having to touch a button! We used FTP and connected to the web using pitch side ethernet or 3G mobile phone. It gave a significant advantage not having to worry about fiddling around on a laptop, leaving me free to concentrate on the action.

Dan Chung from The Guardian said.

If you already have a Canon WFT-E1 or Nikon WT-1/2 WiFi transmitter, a Pocket PC Phone, or need to use a remote camera, the new Configure Camera Wizard and built-in FTP Server and PTP/IP support makes setting up your transmitter a snap. Pocket Phojo automatically configures your WiFi settings, and creates a profile to load into the camera, allowing you to be transmitting images in no time at all.

Expanding Pocket Phojo's field of use to other vertical markets is support for the Nikon P1 and P2 WiFi enabled cameras. These cameras cost just a few hundred dollars, yet support shooting pictures and having them transmitted immediately to Pocket Phojo via WiFi. This allows easy integration with web based applications or 3rd party forms software, making Pocket Phojo ideal for any application that requires collecting high quality images, such as police work, real estate, and auction management.

Feel free to visit the Indura Software Inc. website to find more information and have a look at the demo-video, which quickly shows what Pocket Phojo 4.0 is able to do.
