Just in time for the upcoming launch, the Global Certification Forum (GCF) has approved the Sony Ericsson U20i and U20a, Sony Ericsson's next Android smartphones which will hit the market later this summer under its commercial name Xperia X10 mini pro. According to the GCF, the Xperia X10 mini pro will be available in two flavors: the U20i for Europe, which will support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900/2100 MHz, and the U20a for North America, which will support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 850/1900/2100 MHz.

As always, the GCF hasn't given any further information about an upcoming availability but it's expected, that the European Xperia X10 mini pro will hit markets later this summer.

Cheers ~ Arne
