Following Palm's recent announcement to launch GSM/UMTS versions of the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus with AT&T, it looks like the sister models are heading to Europe as well. The GCF (Global Certification Forum) just recently approved the Palm P101UEU and P121UEU. Since the GSM Palm Pre received its certification a while ago already, the P101UEU might be the GSM Palm Pre Plus while the P121UEU seems to be the European GSM version of the Palm Pixi Plus (expecting that the U stands for UMTS and EU for Europe). The GCF confirmed that both devices are quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA (but not HSUPA) at 2100/900 MHz. Therefore both devices can't be AT&T's webOS smartphones.
As always, the GCF hasn't spilled any beans about availability or further features. But if both devices received their approvals already, a launch can't be too far anymore. However, it's yet completely unknown on which European networks the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus might be launched.
UPDATE: Further researches confirmed that the P101UEU and P121UEU are the European Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus because the North American FCC approved AT&T's Pre Plus and Pixi Plus as P101UNA and P121UNA (where the U most likely stands for UMTS and NA most likely for North America). Therefore we can see it as confirmed that Palm will bring the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus to Europe as well!
