APPROVED: HTC Excalibur received the FCC approval

Everything we heard about the HTC Wizard Windows Mobile 5.0 QWERTY thumb-keyboard Smartphone before seems to turn out to be true. It recently received the necessary FCC approval and according to the FCC documents, it's quadband (at least it supports GSM 850 and 1900 MHz), it supports W-LAN as well as Bluetooth.
Interesting enough also the rumor, that there is a jog-strip less version (which was rumored to be launched by Dopod which is operating in Asia only) seems to become true, at least that's the device the FCC got for testing and approval and the FCC documents (even without photos because of confidentially) are talking about the "Exec100 without Jog Bar":

Sounds like we will see an Exec200 in other parts of the world as well, which might have the jog-strip.
Unfortunately, the FCC hasn't published any device photos yet to confirm this. Nevertheless, this is definitely good news since the FCC approval is required to sell the device in the US and maybe it's hitting T-Mobile sooner as expected? Latest rumors were talking about a September/October time frame.

Cheers ~ Arne
