As promised and after releasing the first Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrades for the HTC Touch Pro2 and the HTC Snap, HTC has finally released the long awaited HTC Touch Diamond2 Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrades for Germany, Denmark, UK, Sweden, Norway and Portugal. As the name says, it's not a Windows Mobile 6.1 update but the full Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5 upgrade which makes the HTC Touch Diamond2 a Windows phone, including new features like native support of Microsoft My Phone and Windows Marketplace for Mobile. Windows phone enables powerful messaging, browsing and productivity capabilities delivered through Windows Mobile 6.5.

Please note that this upgrade will erase any data stored on the device. Once you proceed with the upgrade, the system can not be downgraded again.

The HTC Touch Diamond2 Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade can be downloaded free of charge from HTC's support site. A valid IMEI number is required.

Cheers ~ Arne
