When
HTC unveiled its latest Windows Phone, the
HTC Touch Pro2
last week in Barcelona, officially it was said that it will be released first in
Europe which makes sense since the HTC Touch Pro only supports WCDMA at 900/2100
MHz but not 850/1700/1900 MHz as used in the U.S.
However, over the weekend HTC
made clear through Twitter, that the HTC Touch Pro2 will also land in North
America: "And to answer the big question on everyone's minds, the Touch Pro2
will be broadly available in all major markets, including North America."
And HTC has also given a time-frame: "All, we have not announced a launch
date for the Touch Pro2 in any country yet. But we did announce we will start to
roll it out late Q2."
