I've written about the MultiIE 4 Pocket PC version some days ago and with v4.0-d72, MultiIE also supports Windows Mobile Smartphones now.
So far, MultiIE was the best Pocket Internet Explorer/Internet Explorer Mobile plugin for Pocket PCs but it never supported Smartphones. This changed now, even if this Smartphone version is still a pretty early alpha.
Nevertheless, it basically supports the same features it supports on Pocket PCs, including tabbed-browsing with loading status, quick full screen mode, hardware buttons assignment, background window loading, keep backlight on and many more essential features:

So as you can see above, with MultiIE 4 you can surf with more than just one window. However, while the browser tabs are displayed, they are not selectable yet but you have to switch between the different windows from the Menu, where MultiIE adds a new menu item called MultiIE.

In addition it also adds a new application in your Start menu, from where you can configure your MultiIE options:

However, it's not perfect yet (as you can see above since it uses the Inbox icon) and needs some tweaks for an optimized Smartphone view as well as some not-supported features needs to be disabled.
But all together, MultiIE 4 Alpha for Smartphone is really looking promising and if it reaches the stage, all the Pocket PC versions before reached, I'm sure it's one of the tools I will not miss on my Smartphone anymore, especially because I'm heavily accessing the web from my Smartphone as well.

Cheers ~ Arne
