Well,
I thought we got rid of these artificial HTC product names when HTC said further
products will be called Sxyz (for Smartphone) and Pxyz (for Pocket PC (Phone
Edition)) but either HTC changed its mind or the GCF got something wrong.
Anyway, the GCF (Global Certification Forum for GSM and UMTS devices) just
approved the HTC Kaiser as "HTC TyTN II". Furthermore it approves the same
device as Vodafone1615/SFRv1615/Swisscom XPA1615 which confirms that Vodafone
UK, SFR France and Swisscom Switzerland will also release the device (beside the
previously confirmed T-Mobile Germany launch).

However, the GCF doesn't lists a VPA which is the brand name for Vodafone
Germany's Windows Mobile smartphones - so it's yet uncertain if Vodafone Germany
will release it as well or not. In any case, word is given that O2 Germany will
not launch the Kaiser which means that O2 Germany customers might have to stay a
little bit longer with their O2 Xda trion (aka HTC Hermes). O2 UK hasn't
announced anything yet.
Cheers ~ Arne
