While the HTC Desire HD, which already showed its face turned-off on video and unveiled further information on XML template file, has yet to be announced (which most likely happens next week in London), German Base - a brand of German mobile network operator E-Plus - went even further yesterday and confirmed on its blog that the recently leaked HTC Desire HD rendering is legit and comes from HTC itself. While I have my doubts that HTC will give out an Android device rendering with a Windows Mobile 6.5 HTC Sense screenshot, it seems someone got the right rendering in his hands and Photoshop'd the wrong Windows Phone homescreen instead of the right Android homescreen.
But that's not all! Base went even further and has added the HTC Desire HD to its list of upcoming devices already, unveiling/confirming further specs. According to Base, the HTC Desire HD is featuring a 4.3" WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen, comes with a 8 megapixel camera and has 8 GB internal memory!
Again, the HTC Desire HD has yet to be officially announced but with yesterday's confirmation of Base/E-Plus we can be very confident now that HTC will announce it on next week's press event in London.
Nevertheless, it's quite unusual that a carrier puts a yet to be announced device with a wrong homescreen image on its coming soon list.
Cheers ~ Arne
