 HTC
Corporation today announced a partnership with KDDI, one of the Japanese largest
telecommunications companies, to sell HTC handsets across Japan from later this
year. The two companies, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular Phone, announced that they
would be unveiling the first model, the E30HT Windows Mobile smartphone, from
September 28th to October 4th at CEATEC, Japan's largest electronics products
exhibition. Commercial sales of the E30HT, which is based on the
HTC Touch Pro,
are slated for spring 2009. The model will support KDDI plans to deliver a
broader, more innovative array of 3G products and services to its customers.
 
HTC is committed to providing consumers in Japan with products that are
powerful, innovative and offer a broad range of connectivity and information
capabilities.

What makes me kind of wonder is that it takes so long, from showing it up the
first time on an exhibition to release it to the market.
