DEVELOPING: The Microsoft Developer Smartphone supports English only

Last week I wrote about the Microsoft Smartphone Developer Kit, which is available now to be ordered for MSPP members.

This kit includes a Compal red e SC1100 which is a great device. However, if you are a developer from outside the US or UK, you might beware that this development phone supports English only :!:

Unlike a Pocket PC, the Smartphone language can be changed (like with other cell phones) but for any reason the development device supports English only:

This is something which makes me really wonder cause I thought developers should build their applications multilingual also but how can you test it, if the supported language of the device is English only :?:

Thanks to Johann for letting me know this and sending in the screenshots. The screenshots above are done with a Compal SC1100 which Johann got today from Microsoft.

Cheers ~ Arne
