Vito Technology today announced that starting Feb 28th they will discontinue support of all Windows Mobile apps including AudioNotes, AudioNotes Touch, AstroNavigator II, Communication Suite, EyePhoto, FunContact, GoodWin, and other Windows Mobile products. These apps will no longer be available for download. And while Vito Technology has announced to discontinue its Windows Mobile products, it seems the company has yet no plans to enter the Windows Phone 7 bandwagon instead. The reason to discontinue the Windows Mobile development is connected to the Windows Mobile platform's limitations, as Victor Toporkov, Vito Technology CEO explained: "All our Windows Mobile items have become outdated. Besides there is no further perspective for the development and improvement of our products".

It's been two years since Vito released the last update for their Windows Mobile products and now they plan to stop any support for their Windows Mobile apps. They are informing all their partners about their decision and asking them to disable Vito Technology software on their online stores.

At the moment, Vito Technology development team mostly focuses on educational software for iOS and Mac OS. They are currently working on Star Walk and Solar Walk, apps for exploration of space and Solar system. There are also plans to release an update for Geo Walk, a 3D world fact book full of interesting facts with illustrations. Besides, some new apps for iPhone and iPad by Vito Technology are in the pipeline.

Cheers ~ Arne
