With today's announcement of HTC's Touch Pro, we've also got the word that O2 Germany will launch its version of the HTC Raphael under the Xda brand (the name isn't unveiled yet) later this summer as well. So far it's somewhat confirmed that "O2's Raphael" will also feature Windows Mobile 6.1, triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE (900/1800/1900 MHz) as well as UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (900/2100 MHz) up to 7.2 Mbps, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi b/g as well as GPS. Furthermore we heard that O2's Xda will also include the from the HTC Touch Diamond/Xda diamond known FM radio and and motion-sensor. As with the Xda diamond, O2 Germany will again use its flat soft-touch battery cover instead HTC's diamond shaped battery cover:

Powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7201A CPU at 528 MHz, O2 Germany's Raphael is said to include 512 MB ROM and 288 MB RAM which is expansible via microSD cards. On the back it also sports the 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera and on the front, the VGA camera for video telephony. The VGA TFT LCD touchscreen measures 2.8" and will feature TouchFlo 3D.
According to information, O2 Germany will add TomTom 7 again (which includes one free city map download) and it's said, that O2's Raphael is - as always - SIM/Net unlocked.

A release date or price wasn't given today but it's expected that O2 Germany will launch it later this summer as well.

Cheers ~ Arne

Has anyone actually seen TomTom 7? As far as I can tell from the videos of the Touch Diamond TomTom was not preinstalled. And from where I stand I do not get the impression that TomTom (the company) plans to support the PDA version any more. Sooo - what is the real situation?

Yes, when I had the chance to play with O2's Xda diamond, I've checked it and it was preinstalled and the version number said 7.x. However, you are right, it's not on HTC's Touch Diamond but on the Touch Diamond, no navigation software is preinstalled.
