O2
Germany hast just stopped the sale and delivery of the
Toshiba TG01 Windows
Mobile Professional smartphone, the German carrier is
offering exclusively in Germany. According to O2 Germany, a virus was found
on some of the device's microSD cards which comes with the TG01 and carries the
navigation software.
However, O2 Germany told us that the virus isn't a "Windows Mobile virus" at all
(as you might have read on other sites) but just a regular Windows virus, which
made it - for which reason ever - to the microSD card. While it's not yet clear
which kind of damage the virus does, Toshiba and O2 engineers are evaluating it
at the moment.

O2 Germany will contact affected customers and will offer a device
replacement as well as . In any case, O2 Germany is now reviewing the current
stock and expects that the TG01 will be back on sale next week; then without any
viruses.
UPDATE: O2 Germany and Toshiba cleaned/virus-scanned the
stock-devices; the Toshiba TG01 is back on sale since last Friday evening!
Cheers ~ Arne
