According
to the Clove Technology blog, the Acer F1 is ready for the market from October
6th, the day Microsoft officially launches Windows Mobile 6.5. Yet still new to
the smartphone market, last year
Acer took-over
E-Ten (well known for
its Glofiish branded
Windows Mobile smartphones). The stylish Acer F1 will run on Windows Mobile 6.5
and is powered by a Qualcomm 8250 CPU at 1GHz. The device supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE
as well as triband UMTS/HSDA/HSUPA at 900/1900/2100 MHz (download up to 7.2
Mbps/upload up to 5.76 Mbps), Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi b/g, a G-sensor, ambient light sensor and proximity Sensor.

The 3.8" touchscreen features WVGA (800 x 480) and the 5 megapixel autofocus
features a supporting photo light. The device is backed-up by 512 MB of ROM and
256 MB of RAM which can be expanded by microSD card. Last but not least, the
Acer F1 features a 3.5 mm stereo headset jack which gets pretty common these
day. At a size of 118.6 x 63 x 12mm, the device weights 130 grams, including the
battery.
Clove Technology lists the Acer F1 for £295 which is around 330 Euro.
