Pretty funny - last week I've received an anonymous E-Mail (like most webmasters received I think) which pointed me to a link at YouTube:

There has been loads of stuff about the HTC Athene online but I have just come across this clip on youtube. Seems to be showing you the product & it appears the name will not be Athena as I have read to date. looks much better than the silver version I've seen on line.

And as it turned out, this is a viral marketing campaign, HTC started for its own version of the HTC Athena, the HTC X7500 Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition Professional smartphone.

Basically, this viral marketing campaign includes three videos and the "DoS Clan" has uploaded now the last video of "The DoS Clan Clan reviews the Athena, x7500 from HTC" trilogy:

The DoS Clan reviews the Athena, x7500 from HTC 1of3

The DoS Clan reviews the Athena, x7500 from HTC 2of3

The DoS Clan reviews the Athena, x7500 from HTC 3of3

Well, that's a well done marketing campaign and if you can hardly await the release of the HTC X7500, you might want to keep an eye on this site: (not to be mistaken with

Now one question left - will we see the X7500 to be launched with Windows Mobile 5 or Windows Mobile 6? At least T-Mobile already announced, that it will provide an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 as soon as available.

Cheers ~ Arne
