MWC11 LIVE: ExB announces PTPT for Android - A new way to work with digital assets on Touchscreen Devices

Munich based ExB group announces the availability of its flagship product, petitpetit (PTPT for Android Beta) starting today. petitpetit (or PTPT) is a user interface that is especially designed and developed for touchscreen devices such as tablet, smartphones etc. It takes its name from the four categories in which all information is categorized: People, Things, Places and Time; by liberating data from the constraints of the application silos who generated them, petitpetit unlocks their full value to users, by making them available to all applications residing on the touchscreen device. With PTPT the user is able to access the information directly instead of having to search for the specific file that contains it.

Applications therefore both contribute and consume data from the common pool thanks to the automatic data parsing and association capabilities of petitpetit: much in the same way as a wiki entry is more complete than each of its' contributors individual knowledge, data entities in petitpetit are enriched by each of the applications contributions: a place entity like Munich, Germany is part of the address information of the friends I have in my address book, but also the place where I will hold a meeting next week, or where I have taken some pictures.

"We believe petitpetit will create its own ecosystem" said Dr. Ramin Assadollahi, CEO of ExB petitpetit "as it appeals to a broad array of stakeholders: from application developers to device manufacturers to content providers, each stands to gain in adopting the unified, powerful data representation metaphor provided by petitpetit."

ExB will host daily demonstration sessions of petitpetit in its hospitality suite (precise address here) at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at 10AM and 15PM.

If you can't make it to Barcelona, PTPT for Android (Beta) is now also available from the PTPT website.

Cheers ~ Arne
