Guillaume from GpsPasSion received some very detailed information from Mapopolis about their current Smartphone navigation solution:

Mapopolis is making a splash with a public beta of its Navigator for WM2003 Smartphones. Indeed, it is the first "on-board" navigation solution for Smartphones and unlike "off-board" solutions it does not require communication with a server to access maps and calculate routes!

On offer are the classic features of full featured navigation programs:

  • Trip calculation
  • GPS tracking
  • Route recalculation
  • Visual Guidance
  • Voice Guidance

The current Beta is open to everybody and worth to check, give it a try!

Cheers ~ Arne

I saw it - very poor UI and very small maps (no cities inside, only streets).
