During
a recent investor relations call, Adobe's President and CEO Shantanu Naraye
announced that Flash Player 10 for smartphone-class devices will be released in
October during Adobe's MAX conference. According the call, Adobe plans to
release its Flash Player 10 for a wide range of platforms incl. Windows Mobile,
Android, Symbian and webOS (but not for the iPhone). Furthermore, multiple
partners are already working with the release, including ARM, NVIDIA, Broadcom,
Qualcomm, Intel and TI, to optimize Adobe's Flash Player 10 for mobile devices
to run proper with the company's processors.

Definitely good news for the mentioned platforms since Flash is one important
part of the Internet today and with the even smarter Web browser like Opera
Mobile, plash is definitely highly welcome to make its presence in smartphones.
Cheers ~ Arne
