Today, Samsung Germany has officially announced the launch of the Galaxy mini. Powered by a 600 MHz CPU, the Galaxy mini runs on Android 2.2 and supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as UMTS/HSDPA, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0 and features an FM radio and GPS. The tiny 3.14" TFT-touchscreen supports QVGA (320 x 240) and the 3.2 megapixel camera features Samsung's Smile-Shot and panorama shot modes and allows to record QVGA videos. At a size of 110 x 61 x 12,1 mm, the Galaxy mini weights 109 g, including the 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The Samsung Galaxy mini comes with all Google Android services including Google's Android Market but also has a couple of Samsung exclusive services and features pre-installed, including Samsung's own Apps-Store, Social Hub, Samsung's TouchWiz GUI and Quickoffice.

From February, the Samsung Galaxy mini will be available for around 299 Euro in Germany and other European countries.
