Today,
during its IFA press conference in Berlin, Samsung Germany officially announced
the previously
unveiled SGH-i620 Windows Mobile 6 Standard HSDPA smartphone.
Featuring a slide-out QWERTY (for Germany QWERTZ) keyboard, the i620 is a kind
of updated version of the Samsung SGH-i600. Like the i600, the i620 features
triband (900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE and singleband (2100 MHz) UMTS/HSDPA
and Bluetooth 2.0. However, it's now confirmed that the i620 hasn't has WiFi
built-in.

Further features are touch sensitive function keys around the Jog-Dial (which
works like the D-Pad of the Samsung SGH-i300), a 2.0" QVGA TFT screen and an
updated 2 megapixel camera in addition to the front facing VGA video telephony
camera. With a height of 16 mm only and a weight of 126 g, the Samsung SGH-i620
is available from September in Germany. Further availability wasn't announced so
far (except that we already know that
Vodafone UK will carry it as well) as well as an estimated retails price
wasn't given yet.
Cheers ~ Arne
