Following
T-Mobile UK's
earlier announcement that its next Google
Android smartphone
will be called T-Mobile
G1Touch, the carrier confirmed yesterday, through Twitter that the G1Touch
will be the HTC Hero. Unlike its North American sister-company, which
just announced to release the
HTC Magic/myTouch
3G as its 2nd Android smartphone, T-Mobile UK decided to launch
yesterday's announced HTC Hero. While T-Mobile UK hasn't published a press
release yet, the company
mentioned through
Twitter that its G1Touch will also feature 7 homescreens which means that
the G1Touch will also sports HTC's new
Sense user
interface for Android smartphones.

According to T-Mobile UK, the G1Touch will be available for free, with
certain tariffs, and will include unlimited internet browsing. Availability is
expected from mid July.
It's yet unknown if other European T-Mobile subsidiaries will also launch the
G1Touch as well.
