Following
T-Mobile US'
earlier announcement to launch the
HTC Snap as
T-Mobile Dash 3G,
Verizon
Wireless and HTC announced today the HTC Ozone, Verizon Wireless' version of
the HTC Snap. This easy-to-use Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard smartphone combines a
simple design with a host of connectivity options that include global roaming
and WiFi. Available in black, the HTC Ozone sports a ergonomically-designed
QWERTY keyboard for fast and easy typing, a 1500 mAh battery for extended
operating time and even includes international charging adapters to stay powered
up while abroad.

The HTC Ozone furthermore comes with Verizon Wireless' Navigator, which
provides audible turn-by-turn directions to more than 15 million points of
interest and the option to share the directions with others, Visual Voice Mail
and Mobile IM with support of AOL Instant Messenger, Windows Messenger and
Yahoo! Messenger.
The HTC Ozone will be available for US$ 49.99 after a US$ 70 mail-in rebate
with a new two-year customer agreement. The HTC Ozone will be available online
and through business sales channels from June 29; in Verizon Wireless
Communications Stores it will be available on July 13.
