And another major overhaul. Beside Skype, also Microsoft gave some of its key-apps an overhaul and has released a new version of OneNote Mobile for Android, iPad and iPhone. Internally called version 2, the major enhancement of this update is that it's designed to show the same note under the same look - everywhere. With the new version, users will see notes the same across all clients on different platforms (Windows, Windows Phone, Android, iOS) and Microsoft finally added support to render ink on your Android devices as well. Because sometimes it is just easier to say what you are thinking than write it down on a mobile device, Microsoft finally also added the capability of adding audio notes.

Furthermore, Android user are getting home screen widgets which allow to quickly take a note. With the first version of the app which was released back in early 2012, users were able to access notebooks on SkyDrive. However, with today's release, Microsoft makes it just as easy to access notebooks on Office 365 or SkyDrive Pro.

Furthermore, Microsoft has added enhanced search capabilities so that users can quickly get to the information they are looking for. The recent notes feature gets an update as well which allows to pin recently accessed notes that they always show up on the top.

OneNote v2.0 for Android and iOS is now available as a free download from the Google Play Store and Apple iTunes..
