Announced back in August, the Huawei Vision is the Chinese manufacturer's latest and so far most stylish Android smartphone. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon single-core CPU at 1 GHz, the Vision runs on Android 2.3.5/Gingerbread. The device supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, dualband UMTS/HSDPA 14.4 Mbps/HSUPA 5.7 Mbps as well as Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, WiFi b/g/n and features an FM radio, aGPS, a digital compass as well as the Android typical proximity and ambient light sensors. The capacitive multitouch TFT touchscreen measures 3.7" and the the display is slightly curved to the edge. Bellow the screen, the Vision sports the Android typical touch-sensitive backlight illuminated menu buttons.

The 5 megapixel autofocus camera on the back comes with a supporting flash LED and allows to record 720p HD videos. Also onboard is a front facing VGA camera for self-portraits and chat. The device measures 119 x 60 x 10 mm and weights, including the non-removable 1,400 mAh Li-Polymer battery, around 121 grams. Huawei equipped the Vision with 2 GB ROM and 512 MB RAM which can be expanded with microSD memory cards.

The design highlight is the curved aluminum unibody design which reminds of the one or the other HTC device. Nevertheless, it's looking absolutely gorgeous and gives the Vision a stylish but unique looking design.

The Huawei Vision is now - or will be soon - available in select markets. Since early November, it's available in Germany for around 299.95 Euro.

Cheers ~ Arne
