Acer recently announced that they will be launching a new PDA in Taiwan this April at a price point below NT$10,000.00 (about $US288.00). The product, the Acer n10, will target the medium-range to low-end markets.

Acer bills the n10 Handheld as a compact and stylish Pocket PC that brings fantastic usability, flexibility, and convenience to young and on-the-go individuals. The n10 is aimed at people who benefit from immediate access to information wherever, whenever. It is elegantly finished with an exquisite surface texture and its streamlined curves add to the n10's aesthetic appeal.

According to Acer's specification sheet, the n10 will come preinstalled with the Pocket PC 2002 OS and will be powered by the Intel PXA255 X-Scale processor. Keeping up with current Pocket PC standards, it will sport a 3.5 in. Transflective TFT screen, 32MB of Flash ROM and 64MB of SDRAM. It will come equipped with SD/MMC and CF Type I/Type II dual expansion slots.

The n10 comes with a 1500 mAh Li-Polymer battery and is claimed to be capable of up to 12 hours of use with the backlight deactivated. The n10's dimensions are: 130mm(L) x 78mm (W) x 16.9mm (H) and will weigh in at 165g.
