I have never heard about Taiwanese GPS manufacture "Smart Choice Int'l Co., Ltd." or its lately released brand "Kemix" but their latest GPS Bluetooth receiver looks like a "smart" idea - I haven't seen with other GPS receivers before: it includes a solar panel on top which operates the receiver and charge the receiver.

It includes a host side Bluetooth interface (Class 2)supporting SPP protocol up to 10m and features the NMEA 0183(V3.0) GGA, GSA, GSV, RMC GPS protocols with an update frequency of 1 sec.

I have neither found a link to the company nor any other information except a report from last CeBIT over at PCMAG.COM which states it should be available anytime for around US$ 100.

What do you think? I like the idea - all the time I need my GPS, the battery is empty. :-(

Cheers ~ Arne
