After the server change to the dedicated server, the Forum is back in place and works as before now… :-)
I’ve finalized migration of all your valuable postings and user accounts and just from now, PPCW.Net Forum is back. :-)

Beside this news I have some additional good news for you: The great PPCW.Net Hardware Raffle – powered by Socket Communications - started this month and all registered Forum members are part of it automatically (if they replied my E-Mail)!
If you are still not a PPCW.Net Forum member, hurry up and sign in! After you've signed in, just write me an E-Mail with your Login Name to participate also. Sorry for this bloody workaround but I'm working on a database for this!

Q: What is the PPCW.Net Hardware Raffle?
A: Socket Communications supports a handful Pocket PC community sites and PPCW.Net is one of them. In fact it means that you - as a registered Forum member - can win every month one of the coolest Pocket PC accessories available out there.

Q: Which prizes I can win?
A: Socket gives away one of the following CF cards ever month and you decide which you want to get if you are the lucky winner:

  • 10/100 Ethernet CF Card
  • 56K CF Modem Card
  • Bluetooth CF Connection Kit
  • Digital Phone Card
  • Low Power WLAN CF Card
  • Ruggedized Low Power Ethernet CF Card
Q: How long does the PPCW.Net Hardware Raffle runs?
A: It runs amazing 14 months until end of 2003 and you have the chance to win every month – 14 times!

Q: How to participate on the PPCW.Net Hardware Raffle?
A: For participating in November you have to do nothing else than signing in as a Forum member and send me an E-Mail, just to confirm that you want to participate - in case you want. You can also sign into the Forum only without sending an E-Mail. In that case you wont be part of the raffle, if you don't want to be!?
However, this E-Mail confirmation is important for for all existing and new Forum members as I need to know who want to participate as many users signed the Forum but aren’t Pocket PC owners.
So please be fair and reply only if you own a Pocket PC (200 or 2002 – doesn’t matter).
I will setup a own database ASAP where everybody can sign-in later, that he/she want to participate on different raffles like software, hardware or the Socket raffle. Until this database is established I need your E-Mail confirmation.
From all replies I got, I will select the lucky winner for November.

Q: How will I get the CF card if I win?
A: If you are the lucky winner, you will get an E-Mail from me where I will ask you for your shipping address. This information I will forward to Socket USA and they will handle the transport to you.

Q: I’m living outside the USA, can I also participate?
A: For sure you can! Socket want to support building a strong communication community and therefore it doesn’t matter where you live! We are talking about Pocket PC not about politics! :-)

Q: Until today I don’t know anything about communication topics with my Pocket PC.
A: That’s okay since you found the right place! PPCW.Net is about (mobile) communication and the Forum is about supporting you here. So if you are new in this topic, now it’s the right time to start.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me by E-Mail!
I wish you good luck and enjoy the great PPCW.Net Hardware Raffle – powered by Socket Communications.

Cheers ~ Arne
