For
quite some time now, Pocket PCs have been able to use Margi's Presenter-to-Go CF
and PC cards to connect to projectors for real time slide presentations. A very
neat weight saving solution, Margi's Presenter-to-Go is a hardware-software
combo.
While Margi already includes a PowerPoint type viewer for the Pocket
PC, the Margi Presenter-to-Go card can still be used for various presentation
software.
Margi recently updated their lineup to include one more
Presenter-to-Go card for the Pocket PC - The Margi Presenter-to-Go SD card for
the Pocket PC.
Initially released to be compatible with a select number of
Pocket PCs, Margi plans to release updated drivers to support more Pocket PCs in
the future.
Presenter-to-Go Includes:
• Presenter-to-Go SD Card/Cable for use on specific Pocket PC handhelds with
SDIO slots
• CD-ROM with Presenter-to-Go Software Plug-in for Powerpoint 97/2000/XP for
Windows. Software for slide creation in virtually any application, supported
on Win 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP/NT4.
• MARGI Mirror application for output of handheld LCD
• Projector Connection Cable
• A/C Adapter
• 14-button Infrared Remote Control
• Carrying case
This card is currently compatible ONLY with the following Pocket PCs: Dell
Axim X3, Dell Axim X3i, Samsung i700 Pocket PC Phone Edition, ViewSonic V35
(With SDIO upgrade available from ViewSonic), ViewSonic V36, and ViewSonic V37
(With SDIO upgrade available from ViewSonic).
Margi also has an explicit
warning regarding the Pocket PCs supported which reads, "When and if additional
devices are supported, they will be added to this list. Until that time, do not
assume support for any devices not mentioned above."
