On Sunday, Microsoft's My Phone service for Windows Mobile, which was launched in a closed Beta back in February, was not be available to enable deployment of a service upgrade. And now we officially know why, even if the Google Adsense ads on the::unwired spilled the beans already: The My Phone Beta is now open to all users which means no more waiting list or promotional codes to get access to! Microsoft just completed upgrading the My Phone web portal as well as over the next few weeks, companion software for Windows Phones will be updates too. The updated web site includes 19 additional languages, a video demo on the welcome page as well as a number of other improvements.

Microsoft My Phone is a cloud service which provides 200 MB of free storage space and syncs critical information (e.g., contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, text messages, photos, videos, etc.) on a user's mobile phone to a password protected web site. Once synchronized, people can easily back-up and restore mobile phone data. My Phone provides an easy to use web portal where people can access and manage content on the phone, and share that information with others.
