 Following
its earlier release in Russia, GIGA-BYTE Communications today announced the
launch of the GSmart i350 Windows Mobile 6 Professional smartphone in Italy. The
i350 provides SiRF III GPS Navigation in a compact and sleek design, featuring a
VGA screen.
Powered by a Marvell PXA270 CPU at 520 MHz, the i350 supports quadband GSM/GPRS,
WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0. Other features includes a 2 megapixel camera with
autofocus, 64 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM which can be extended with miniSD memory
cards. The VGA touchscreen measures 2.6".
Starting with the i350, GIGA-BYTE Communications (GBC) has chosen Brightpoint
Italy as the Italian distributor for its new line of smartphones and PDAs.
Brightpoint Italy, according to the agreement recently signed, is supplying
distribution and logistic services to GBC and help the expansion and penetration
through of GSmart products on national basis. Pursuant to the agreement,
Brightpoint Italy will also support GBC in entering the Operator Channel.
Powered by SiRF Star III chipset, GPS Navigation helps users get to
destinations with optimized route. Treasured memory is easily kept and shared
with the Track Recognition feature. It lets users save and recall the best
routes to places they have been to. GSmart i350 is bundled with GARMIN Mobile XT
Navigation software, providing high quality navigation experience and making it
your best partner for finding the best route.
GSmart i350 displays images and texts on VGA screen, which is up to four
times sharper than the commonly-seen QVGA screens. Users can view pictures and
videos with high definition. As more content can now be shown in one single
page, web browsing is more efficient than ever.
With Windows Mobile 6 Professional, the GSmart i350 is a mobile office where
users can access work data in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint and receive real-time
email from their personal email accounts anywhere. The new Windows LiveTM makes
it simple for users to enjoy messaging, Internet surfing and file sharing.
In addition to the powerful business features, GSmart i350 offers many useful
in-house software to simplify call and data management. SIM Manager and Spb
Backup can backup and restore SIM card contacts and important files. BT
Application enables fast data exchange via Bluetooth by skipping through
complicated settings. The GSmart exclusive Incoming Caller Ring tone, in-phone
Answer Machine and Block List ensure that users can manage the calls most
efficiently.
The GSmart i350 will retail for 499 Euro.
