We have already heard about the HTC J Butterfly/the Droid DNA and as expected, it seems that the J aka DNA will also arrive to the rest of the world as the HTC Butterfly. HTC just put the official specs on its international website and according to these, the Butterfly will feature a Qualcomm S4 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU and runs on some kind of Android with HTC Sense. It's said to support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSPA at 850/2100 MHz which means that this version of the Butterfly isn't optimized for Europe which could mean that the European bands will be different. LTE is not announced to be supported. However, also on board are Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX and WiFi a/b/g/n as well as support for GPS and Glonass.

At a size of 143 x 70.5 x 9.08 mm, the Butterfly weights 140 gram, including the 2020 mAh Li-polymer battery, and comes with a massive 5" super LCD 3 Corning Gorilla Glass 2 touchscreen which features Full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixel. Like all of the recent HTC smartphones, the Butterfly also comes with a 8 megapixel camera which features a dedicated HTC ImageChip and HTC ImageSense. This means the camera sports a F2.0 aperture and 28mm lens, auto focus, LED flash and an BSI sensor which allows 1080p HD video recording. The front camera supports 2.1 megapixel and even allows 1080p HD for video chat.
It comes with 2 GB of RAM and a total flash storage of 16 GB which can be expanded with microSD memory cards for up to 32 GB additional storage
Further multimedia features include DLNA for wirelessly streaming media from the phone to a compatible TV or computer, micro-USB 2.0 with mobile high-definition video link (MHL) for USB or HDMI connection, and studio-quality sound with Beats Audio built in.
HTC has not yet announced the internationals GSM/UMTS version of the J Butterfly/Droid DNA but it's expected that it will be announced anytime soon, most likely prior next year's Mobile World Congress.
Cheers ~ Arne
