While some sources like @evleaks have a long track record of proven and confirmed leaks, a new leaker called "@NextLeaks" just hit Twitter and started his account with information of two new Nokia Lumia Windows Phones - the Nokia Lumia 1820 and the Nokia Lumia 1526. According to these totally unconfirmed tweets, the Lumia 1820 is said to feature a 5.2'' 2k (2048 × 1080 pixel) display, a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD805 CPU, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of flash memory as well as a 3400 mAh battery and a kind of "Lytro camera" with Xenon flash. The design is said to remind on the Nokia Lumia 928. According to @NextLeaks, a release can be expected for March 2014 (which would mean that Nokia will announce it during next month's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona).
The second device is the Nokia Lumia 1525 which is said to feature a 6'' 2k (2048 × 1080 pixel) display, the same brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD805 CPU, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB flash memory which can be expanded via micro SD memory cards, a 3400 mAh battery which is said to be "chargeable by a solar display" and a 25/30 megapixel (PureView) camera. The release date is mentioned to be expected in September.
Sure, there's no evidence that any of the info above are legit but the Lumia 1820 rumors made it into the web earlier already and last year's rumors said that the Lumia 1820 "will be the next camera-centric Nokia model, replacing the current Nokia Lumia 1020". Back in November it was already rumored that it is expected to feature "a metal unibody design" and "a Lytro-style camera on back", which means that users will be able to change the focus after taking the photograph; something Nokia is currently offering with the help of an extra app called "Nokia Refocus".
The Nokia 1525 is also not totally unknown and first rumors hit the web last year as well. When rumored first, it was said that the Lumia 1525 will have full metal/aluminium body and sporting a 41 megapixel as well as a 6" screen. Other specs were rumored to be similar to the Lumia 1520.
It's yet totally unclear if @NextLeaks just reused older publically available rumors to make new tweets and rumors out if it or if he has some good insights. The future will show, for now we just have two tweets of a brand new Twitter account.
Cheers ~ Arne
