It's quite obvious that HTC will announce something new at its press conference in London next week and so far it was expected that it might be just the Desire HD. However, after yesterday's announcement of the T-Mobile G2, chances are good that HTC might also announce the Desire Z. Today, we've received further anonymous information about HTC's next Android smartphones, showing two MMS XML templates which confirm both devices, the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Desire Z. Furthermore, the templates confirm that both devices will feature a WVGA touchscreen and that the Desire HD doesn't feature a hardware keyboard while the Desire Z has (the G2's?) hardware QWERTY keyboard.
In addition to the two screenshots above, we've also received a third screenshot of the T-Mobile G2 MMS template which shows that the Desire Z and G2 seems to be - more or less - identical which leads us to the assumption, that the Desire Z will be the European version of T-Mobile's North American G2.
The Desire HD showed its face on video before and therefore this device can be seen as confirmed already.
In any case, we will know more next Wednesday when HTC is holding its press conference in London. We will be there to keep you informed.
Cheers ~ Arne
