The
Boy Genius Report got some information, that T-Mobile U.S. is expected to launch
a new Windows Mobile smartphone code-named the
HTC Juno.
According to the source, the expected device is Windows Mobile based and has a
"consumer friendly interface, most likely HTC's TouchFlo,".
Furthermore it should have a QWERTY keyboard, even if the keyboard on the
rendering bellow looks like a kind of "SureType" keypad:

Well, for me the
HTC Juno was a kind of
HTC Wings/HTC
Volans so far and I'm uncertain if the device above is the "Juno". Also the
keys looks like a Windows Mobile based Standard smartphone (non-touchscreen) but
is if it is a Standard smartphone, how should HTC's TouchFlo works (which
requires a touchscreen)?
If you ask me, this devices reminds me way more on Vodafone's
recently announced Vodafone 920 Windows Mobile Smartphone. Both are slider
phones and sports a similar
button layout, except that the T-Mobile device above features that kind of
SureType keypad.
On the other hand, the Vodafone device is a 3G smartphone while T-Mobile U.S.
hasn't has the 3G network up and running commercially now.
Anyway, according to the source, a release can be expected for October which
should give us clearness soon.
Cheers ~ Arne
