JGUI's
recently released GPS.Friend allows you to find your friends, child or whoever
as long as your friend is also carrying a GPS-enabled Windows Mobile smartphone,
running GPS.Friend.
GPS.Friend allows you to get your current GPS location and asks someone's phone
for his/her location as well, to match both locations. If that someone has
Windows Mobile phone with GPS.Friend installed too and and the GPS receiver is
working, the phone will reply with the location and GPS.Friend is able to
displays the location on a map, even with calculated distance. This reply is
always made under the phone's owner permission but the owner can also allow to
reply automatically without any further notice.

GPS.Friend has simple and intuitive interface. You get your own location and
ask someone, with only two taps on your phone device. Just set the target phone
number or select from your Contacts. GPS.Friend is independent from
pre-installed map images, because it downloads the necessary map from Google
Maps service and location information are exchanged between the phones by SMS
text messages.
GPS.Friend works with Windows Mobile Professional (touchscreen) and Standard
(non-touchscreen) smartphone and supports all screen resolutions.
GPS.Friend is freeware, at least until you want to get own current location,
or ask someone, only one time a day. The full version with unlimited location
requests is available for 17.25 Euro (for the first license) and 9.95 Euro for
every additional license (which makes sense since you need at least two licenses
to make it useful. Otherwise you can use
Google Maps
Mobile).
